Yesteryear Collection

It is Christmas Eve and there is no delivery more important than what's being hauled in this' classic 1955 Chevy pickup. A perfect pine tree for Santa to decorate, a payload of gaily wrapped presents and a brightly rocking horse fill the truck bed. For more than 40 years, the Chevy 3100 has been helping families bring home all their most important belongings. From weekly groceries to a new porch swing...from the tough routine of everyday work to a holiday hay ride, the Chevy 3100 has been an essential part of American life. The Chevy 3100 was introduced in 1955 as a half-ton commercial truck and today it is considered a true classic. Originally equipped with a six-cylinder engine, its features included a one-piece windshield and an open radiator grille. Fitted with a Hotchkiss driveshaft which greatly improved on the previous torque tube type, the Chevy 3100 truly reached out to the American public by offering "Hydramatic" transmission as an option. Now, the classic 1955 Chevy 3100 is recreated in a special Christmas die-cast replica by Matchbox Collectibles, "the greatest name in die-cast."
